Hairspray is about a big girl (with big hair) named Tracy Turnblad. This girl won a spot on the local TV dance program "The Corny Collins Show". Tracy becomes a teen celebrity overnight. Not long after, Tracy finds herself against the show’s reigning princess for the title Miss Teenage Hairspray 1962.
Hairspray The Musical is now in Manila! This musical is based on the film Hairspray which won eight Tony awards including Best Musical. Hairspray the movie starred John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes, Allison Janney, Brittany Snow, Zac Efron and Elijah Kelley.

Hairspray is directed by Bobby Garcia, choreography by Cecile Martinez, sets and costumes by Gino Gonzales, lighting design by Shoko Matsumoto and Musical Director Archie Castillo conducts FILharmoniKA.
